The Full Body decoys are treated with flock. A soft and special kind of fiber coating, primarily to prevent glare in sunlight, but also to give the decoy a lifelike appearance.

As geese reportedly look with a form of ultraviolet light, it is important that the paint used on the decoys prevents glare of UV light. If the decoy is not painted with the right UV-resistant paint it will appear with a blue tinge to the wild geese. This can cause the geese to turn off. GHG Greylag decoys are made with just the right UV-resistant paint.
