Dan Thompson PC1D Extreme Range Double Jackrabbit – extra raspy!
Predator call from American Dan Thompson Calls with extra long range for hunting fox, marten and other predators.
Used advantageously on windy days with heavy wind and has a range over 1500 meters depending on the wind conditions. Perfect if you expect to hunt from the same position. Ideal when the predator will be lured from a long distance.
The PC1D is handmade and individually tuned by John Haslem, who is currently in charge of Dan Thompson Calls.
The PC1D call is made of exquisite walnut wood that ensures a clear and natural tone.
Place yourself in the open ground 80-100 meters from the forest edge and start by calling with lower volume, which is gradually increased. Call for 1 minute and pause for 2-3 minutes.
Blow 3 short and sharp sequences followed by a longer complaining sound that mimics a wounded hare. PC1D has a deep and extra hoarse sound of a wounded hare.
Make sure to vary the sound so that it does not become monotonous. Therefore you will keep a natural interest from your chosen prey.
Dan Thompson predator calls are recommended by several game call specialists, for example, Danish Sandor Hestbæk Markus and the Swedish film producer Ulf Lindroth.
You don’t even have to be an experienced caller to use a Dan Thompson call on your predator hunt. With a little practice, you can quickly produce the right sounds and from here there is not a long way to the first predator responding to your call.
