GHG Flocking Kit – breathe new life into your GHG Goose Decoys

It is impossible to avoid damage to the flock coating on your decoys during transportation and storage.

Lighter superficial damage can be rectified with our Fosco spray paint in the dark brown, black or grey colours, but if the damage is more extensive you can now buy the original flock material for repair of your Greenhead Gear greylag or Specklebelly goose decoys with flock.

The kit contains:

• Container with 200 grams of flock
• Dispenser
• Sandpaper
• Glue (Adhesive)
• 2 brushes
• Latex gloves.

There is enough flock material for approx. 30 heads or 10 decoy bodies.

How to apply:

• First, the decoys must be cleaned. Do not use water but remove soil and dust with a soft toothbrush and follow the structure of the flock coating.
• Use a low-pressure air nozzle to blow the loosened dirt off
• Repeat cleaning with the toothbrush until all the dirt is removed.
• Go over it with a blow dryer at low heat if there is moisture on the decoy
• Before flocking, put on the latex gloves (they must be clean) and avoid touching the newly cleaned areas. Cover the decoys eyes (use tape) and hold your hand to cover the beak etc.
• Use a cotton swab and clean the areas to be flock treated with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
• Use the small red brush to apply glue (FFD Elite Tan Adhensive) to the area to be flocked.
• Remove the lid from the container with flock powder and put on the dispenser
• Pour on the flock on the glued surface of the decoy.
• When you are satisfied with the result just let the decoys dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours.
• Then you can remove the tape from the decoys eyes etc.

If you have painted goose decoys that you would like to apply a flock coating, then the process is the same as above. Simply use the supplied sandpaper to grind the paint so that the surface becomes rough before you clean with isopropyl alcohol. Use the yellow brush to apply the flock on the decoy body.
