Fox call developed by experienced British fox hunters
The traditional predator call that effectively imitates the distress cry of a wounded or dying rodent.
Great for luring foxes at long range in the open countryside but can also be used to reproduce mouse squeaks at close range.
Comes in durable stainless steel.
Nylon cord not included.
How to do:
- Take a deep breath, then push your tongue up towards the roof of your mouth and exhale gently, forcing the escaping air over the top of your tongue as you exhale. This should create a sort of tttsssss sound.
- Hold the call between your thumb and forefinger, with the long side facing up.
- Place the call so that the folded edge and both holes are inside your mouth.
- As described in the instructions above, exhale gently – and imagine the air coming from your mouth through the 2 holes in the call. This will NOT quite produce the desired sound, but you are almost there!
- While exhaling gently, place your tongue against the back edge of the call – this will force the air to go through both holes in the call – and the interference between the two air channels will cause the call to make its distinct sound.
- You will need to experiment with the position of your tongue – but with practice you will get it to work.
