Shooting sticks give you the ability to shoot on a stable, steady surface on any terrain. Most feature a leg or legs which are easily adjustable and can be moved on the fly.
These are great for longer hunting trips where you will be sitting very still. You can place your gun and yourself in a comfortable position and take shots without having to reposition yourself every time.
It will also reduce the amount of noise made when you need to take a shot, as you will not have to move as much.
